No Need to FEAR, SIX Is HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have waited year for this day. I have talked about last years Iron Bowl win for a year now, and now I can talk for another. I woke up this morning around 10 and watched the last hour of College Gameday. Corso went with Auburn and Herbstreit went with Alabama. It is always good to have one on the other side so you can say that he was proved wrong when it is over. The Game, on the other hand, was a great one. The game started out with Auburn stopping Alabama on 3 and out. Auburn took over on the 35 yard line, and took the ball 65 yards for a Touchdown to make the score 7-0. The game was then a defensive battle. After both teams exchanged a couple of possessions, Auburn got the ball and took it down the field. They kicked a field goal to make it 10-0. That was the score at the end of the 1st quater. Alabama was driving at the end of the 1st, and ended up taking it in for a score. Alabama pulled within 3, with the score 10-7 at the half. Auburn took their opening drive of the 2nd half down to the 26, but Byrum missed a 43 yard field goal. Going into the 4th quater Auburn had Alabama pinned deep in their own territory. Once again, the teams exchanged punts. With 8:48 to go in the game, Auburn took over with great field position, on the Alabama 44. They scored on a Brandon Cox sneak up the middle. The score was 17-7 with 3:58 remaining. Alabama put together a pretty good drive, and came away with a 49 yard field goal to make the score 17-10. Alabama decided to go with the onside kick, but it was recovered by Auburn with 2:02 to go in the game. Auburn then ran the ball a few times and got a first down, which was enough to run out the clock and claim the sixth Iron Bowl victory in a row.

Tonights victory makes 5 years, to the day, since the streak started on Nov. 24, 2002. It feels great to have #6 in the bag. The game was great, and I enjoyed it very much. Six is sweet, but seven will be 7 times sweeter. Untill then, all I can do is brag about 6. That's not so bad, I'll take it. lol. All we can do is wait untill Iron Bowl 73 kicks off in Tuscaloosa on Nov. 29, 2008 when Auburn will look to continue the streak. From right now, the OFFICIAL countdown is: 1 year 3 days 22 hours and 35 min till gameday. Untill then, WAR EAGLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nick Saban couldn't figure out how to beat Auburn, either.

I like how the new articles out there start this way.

I'M REALLY SURPRISED THE SCORE WAS SO CLOSE. AUBURN SHOULD'VE DONE BETTER. I'M PROUD OF ALABAMA'S EFFORT LAST NIGHT. ROLL TIDE!

P.S. THERE WON'T BE A 7TH VICTORY. SABAN WILL LEAD HIS NATION TO VICTORY!

Well, I guess the Bammer that commented was ashamed to say his name. I would be too. But, Im sure Alabama was proud of the effort when the tide only lost by 8 in 2004. If you didn't know, that is the year Auburn was the BEST team in the nation. Ohhh, and by the way, Auburn has won 3 more since then.

auburn didn't win on their own merit, that is for sure if the refs wouldve had some better calls the outcome would have been better

Yeah, I know. The outcome would've been worse than it was. If we had better refs, you could take away one of Bama's TD's. JPW's forward progression was stopped on the goaline, and they wouldn't have been that far down the field if the refs wouldn't have called that HORRIBLE pass interference call. The refs did everything they could to help Bama win the game, and they still couldn't pull it off.
